Dot NAME Domains

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level domain extension is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. At first, only 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to register john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought third-level names remained online.

Through our company, you can reserve your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registration service provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no particular prerequisites on who can get a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the idea behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
